Technical Sales Manager (FMCG)

Job Summary:-

We are looking for a Technical Sales Manager with experience in food ingredient sales and key account management. She/He is a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Manager to expand our footprint in the food ingredients industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, business development, and market analysis, with a keen understanding of food ingredients, formulations, and customer needs.

Job Responsibilities: –

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand ingredient sales within targeted industrial sectors, including food manufacturers, beverage producers and dairy alternative companies.
  • Identify and engage with key stakeholders in R&D, procurement, and production teams to position our ingredients as integral components in their formulations.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with existing customers while actively pursuing new business opportunities in domestic and international markets.
  • Leverage technical expertise to provide consultative support on ingredient applications, recipe optimization and product development.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to anticipate customer needs and deliver customized ingredient solutions.
  • Generating leads, identifying potential customers, negotiating contract terms, and monitoring sales performance.
  • Manage operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable.

 Job Requirements: – 

  • Degree or professional qualification preferably in Food Science / Food Technology / Chemistry or a related discipline.
  • 3 – 5 years of sales experience, preferably in food ingredients for the export market.
  • Strong experience with both dealer and direct B2B sales experience.
  • Good to have small sales team management experience.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the industry/market/competitors/customers.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)
